Work Type: Full Time
Busy Newcastle cafe Autumn Rooms is on the hunt for an experienced head chef to join the team. You’ll have the benefit of a five-day roster with no night shifts, up to 95k salary + performance bonus. Salary will be scaled based on experience. This is a long term role with the opportunity to grow with the addition of another venue this year.
A great opportunity for a hospitality professional to lead a dedicated team.
The ideal candidate:
- Demonstrated extensive experience running a successful kitchen or in a Sous role where you have learned the skills to step up and be successful in a head chef role.
- A positive team player and natural leader with a passion for staff development
- Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders across the business including owners and managers
- Driven to succeed in the development of our food and business across both Darby Street and Stockton locations
- Developing and refining systems, controlling labour and food costs, and producing a profitable menu

We are looking for someone who is already undergoing an apprenticeship preferably in their second year.
